Every once in a while I think about getting an antenna for MW DXing.
I've read that the Kiwa Loop is fantastic, but because MW isn't my
primary interest, I can't see paying the hefty price for a Kiwa.
Not quite as expensive is the Quantum QX and QX Pro loops. I've heard
that these are good, but how good are they, really? How would they
compare to the Kiwa loop?

Having owned both, I would say the QX Pro and the Kiwa are a toss up,
the QX Pro having the edge for LF reception. The nulls seem to be
slightly better for the QX Pro on MW. The Standard QX Loop has a
smaller head (shorter ferrite bars) and is not as effective on weak MW
stations as the Kiwa and QX Pro. The price for the QX Pro is attractive
vs. the going E-Pay prices for the Kiwa.
