Any suggestions for a good quality compact, preferably true
portable of say not more than ICF2010 size, unit that covers the
standard 1620 to 30MHz, or at least most if it, would be
appreciated. I'm tired of digital chugging and mediocre
sensitivity. Many thanks.
- What kind of set do you have, BTW . .
The better ones are ICF2010, SW55, and RFB65. But I recently
dusted off my ancient trusty ICF4900 and it disgraced them all
on SW sensitivity with only its puny antenna, as does the SW22
Tuned front ends can't be beat. The manual scan is a must
function for me as you can see from the digital models...
-Suggest trying a better antenna and waiting for the Sun to settle
down..
Check out the review section on
www.radiointel.com
; they do cover some
analogues
Thanks for the link reminder and any recommendations.
