Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station is in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Yes, I used to live in the Springs. The scenery was very nice.
Shortwave reception was good too, but affected in the summer by a lot
of lightning activity. Cheyenne Mountain was where I got my internet
access from, via a wireless microwave dish link, as a matter of
interest.
