Yes. The phrase "There but for the grace of God, go I" can be used
properly in so few situations that it's a welcome opportunity.

The problem is the quality of the comparison...when Cuhulin is a
creature pretending to be a fifteen year old girl with a sexual interest
in male dogs, his status is immediately moved next to that of a Bubonic
plague carrying sewer rat.

Even the rat hates that. It has feelings and naturally, NEVER cross dresses.
