He didn't say these were kits. Did Heath sell assembled versions of
these? If so, those could be both assembled and "mint."


But even if they'd been bought as a kit, they could still be mint.
The meaning then that it would be in great shape (no scratches, no
mods, original paint, etc), and I suppose it might also mean that
it was assembled carefully, but I can't say I've given much thought
to that last point.

I suspect if the wording was "mint kit" then that would require
that it not be assembled, because then it's no longer a kit, and hence
isn't "mint" as the day the builder bought it.

I'm not convinced that someone assembling the kit makes it less pristine,
as in "less than mint". But, obviously if someone wants the kit, any
kit that was assembleed is spoiled goods.
