I don't think so

**His behavior is his way of dealing with his own problems. He
believes in projecting his troubles upon strangers, quite the quirky way
of dealing and providing himself with some sort of mental therapy. He's
a control freak and member of the Civil Air Patrol who acts like he does
for reasons known only to himself. He is a man who dislikes compromise,
his ego is easily bruised, and one only needs browse his warblings over
the years for such an illustration of how this blemish of a Radio
Amateur. Robeson is never wrong, don't you know that by now?

*Jerry Oxendine told me Robeson was an officer in the CAP and Robeson
has confirmed this himself. This by itself wouldn't be an issue, but the
fact he feels it important enough to put it out there in public and
couple it with such behavior unbecoming of one who holds such a position
makes his hypocrisy fair game.

Needless to say that we're all a bit goofy.


Guilty. I mean, some of us find pleasure in dx, others in building and
fine tuning, swapping diodes, others in ragchewing and still others with
cw, and then we have the antennas gurus and rats. Outside the hobby, the
whole damn world thinks we're goofy.


Oxendine is no exception, and that's no big

deal. He does make some excellent points

from time to time.


Absolutely. Jerry has plenty of knowledge that, at the right time, can
be mined for gems. I'd enjoy a cup of coffee with the man if we kept
politics and license status out of the conversational equation.

replace Greenspan? As a devout atheist I can

Heheh! You know when I thought the proverbial sign was given for marking
the beginning of the end of the GW Bush version of conservatism? Ann
Coulter slamming him. When Ann Coulter slams GW Bush, you know it's bad.
I actually cracked a smile listening to her,,,she -does- have a sense of
humor. I've twice heard her say regrading Miers "We (GOP
conservatives...NOT necessarily Bush conservatives) didn't know he was
going to hire his cleaning lady"

*With leaders like we have and officers like Oxendine and Robeson in
charge of anyone or anything, who are out there setting examples like
they do and spoiling the good image of such civil/military endeavors and
entities, it's no wonder this great country is having its image
tarnished. Robeson is the worst type of American. He wraps himself in
the flag and attacks those with whom he disagrees as opposed to
attacking the actual subject matter/topic.

That's a basic Rovian debate tactic.


Sucks! Some people have been driven to believe that dissent equals
dishonor because of this admin!

Another "semi-qualified
licensed" hammie who has much to learn regarding communications. He was
taught Fields Communications and basic introductories regarding such,
but as exampled, is illiterate when it comes to Discipline in
Communications, knows nothing of Approaches of Communications,
Relations, Negotiations and a host of other academia related to his
chosen radio hobby that he never bothered to learn.

He also knows nothing of his claimed MOS in

the Corps. The only thing he seems to

remember is standing on the yellow footsteps.

Perhaps that was the culmination of his

military career; i.e, he got kicked out of boot

camp!


I know the Army had a fast-lane to the LPN program after one was a
medic. Crazy. Military medics can suture and all kinds of **** in the
field, but when they get back to civilian life, they aren't allowed or
recognized to do any of it.

He and Oxendine are much alike. Zero tolerance for any views but their
own myopic concerns.

The difference is that Oxendine will sincerely

consider an opposing POV. He may disagree,

but he does listen. Dudly, OTOH, developed

his communication skills by watching

Pee-Wee Herman videos.



Perhaps I should do some reading in the amateur groups, then. Guess I'm
only getting bits and pieces of all the love going around in the groups.
