Default okay, here's the scoop... I guess I may need that dipole after all :-D

I was so hypnotized by the possibility of owning my own home, that I
never looked far enough into the future, that I would need my hobbies,
especially since I don't work.

I'm learning now that it is pretty common practice for people living
in association areas (town homes and condos), that installing anything
other than a small dish, is usually unacceptable.

It seems unfair i agree but it is down in the rules of lease that you
signed
when you took over the building (not you personally, any housing
association
member) We have one in Bournville, Birmingham and the rules are so strict
its crazy. You cant even have a small dish unless its in the kitchen. But
they signed the paperwork so they should have known what they were
entitled
to do before moving in. No good complaining afterwards. Move to a house in
the country, get a stonking huge tower and massive element beam and push
that kilowatt.... )

How the hell do you watch TV if you don't want to pay for cable or have some
sort of problem with the cable provider?

That's bull****! I'm not on anyone's case here, just a rant. But for
christ's sake, a 20 some-odd foot chunk of white fiberglass, less than an
inch thick ain't going to ruin the resale value of the neighbor's home.

I will never, I repeat NEVER move into an area where my house has to look so
much like the neighbors house that I can't even add a damn Imax without a
pole. I see safety issues with unsupported towers, but an antenna bolted to
wood, a satellite dish? Come on, where the hell is this, stepford?

Un-F-ing real, America my ass, can't even put an antenna on something you
OWN, that's.... bull****. Where is this country going?
