I use 102" whip, 6" & another 4" firestik heavy duty spring. I'm running a
magnum 257 w/extended coverage.
(Hams can do that legally), my swr is darn near flat 40 above & 40 below.
Experiment & see what works best
for you. Every installation is different.

whip. Does anyone have a straight answer. I can discontinue the use
of the spring if it is that advantageous. Please, someone let me know.
I just want (like everyone else) low SWR, and max power out the whip.
