A Russian General and French General were prepairing to go into battle.
The Russian General instructed his valet to get him his bright red coat
with all his medal and decorations on it. The French general asked, "why
do you want your bright red jacket, it will stand out and you will
surely be shot." The Russian General said, "because my troops will be
able to see me in the thick of battle, and if I get shot the blood will
not show against the red and that will give them courage and inspire
them to fight at their best". The French General called to his valet,
"Marcel, bring me my brown pants".
