Hi
I would like to connect my hi-fi's tuner to my TV's communial aerial
socket on the wall with the aid of some sort of coaxial splitter, is
this possible? On the rear of the hi-fi are the aerial connectors which
appear to accept strands of exposed wire by pressing and releasing a
small lever. The five connections are split between 300ohm, 75ohm and
AM. Whats the best way to get a decent reception from the tuner?
Thanks for any advice.

Do you have Radio Shacks in the UK? I'd just go to them or someone
similar, and let them provide you with a splitter and the appropos
cables. (Enter "splitter" at the RS site and it comes up with 35
matches.)

Thanks for the input so far. Maplins is a similar store in the UK to
Radio Shacks. So just to confirm, I have a two stranded aerial wire.
One end of the aerial wire I am going to connect the two stands to the
tuners 75ohm aerial sockets. What do I do with the two strands of wire
at the other end of the aerial wire? As I have said I am a complete
novice here but from this response this probably does not need
repeating. Johno
