Gone cold these last few days hasnt it. Dya think theres any possibility the
weather people may be right about this winter is going to be the coldest we
have had in the last 100 years?
Quite possible.
Do you remember the deep snow in the 1970s and again in the 1990s? I also remember seeing snow
once in the summer.
It really must be cold as my cat, a very bushy "medium longhaired", is usually outside about 18
hours a day. He is usually out at night and in the snow, and sometimes disappears for days.
Right now he goes out for a few minutes, maybe an hour to do his business, then he comes back
in and curls up for hours.
I suppose they will blame this *cold* winter on "global warming", just like they do the warm
summers. These people are no better than the Jovos, constantly telling us the World is ending.
Going back decades, one warm summer was said to be a sign we were moving closer to the sun,we
were all goint to fry. Then a cold winter meant we were drifting away from the sun and were
going to freeze. Next came the winds of the late 1980s - "there will be no gales here,
Madam" - and that was the end of the World coming.
Now, everything is blamed on global warming... whether it is hot, cold, windy... or just a
little different.
Although it has also been said that weather goes in a cycle, much longer than our life-span,
this hardly ever gets mentioned. In fact, in one place where it is warming up, people have
said they can grow certain crops... again. Suggesting that they are going through a cycle, not
the end of the World.
Maybe we should have a blog site.
Peter.
