Default Kenwood ts130

I worked in a Kenwood repair shop for several years..My advise is:
check all simple things like loose connections, poor board connections
etc.. At the prices of used transceivers of that age,and costs of
shipping to a service shop, lack of replacement parts.and costs of parts
that are available..I would look for a beat-up old TS 130 that had a
good readout ,buy it and go from there.. you would also have a source
for parts in the future..PS: The TS-130 is a good radio ,with a good
record..It came out in September of 1980 ..makes it 25 yers old
