You don't say how far you are from Tampa, or the call sign or frequency
of the Station you're attempting to receive, but generally speaking:
You'll need an antenna with gain and directivity. These designs are
usually of the 'Yagi' or 'Log Periodic' design, and can be home-brewed
but are so inexpensive to buy that it may not be worth the effort. The
greater the number of 'elements' the antenna has, the greater its gain
and the narrower its directivity.
The Radio Shack unit link in a previous post will do a good job if the
Station you're after is within about 30 miles (assuming flat terrain -
oh right! you're in Florida!) and a reasonably powered Station.
This 8 element Yagi:
http://www.fmdxantenna.com/ may do a bit better,
and there are 10 element antennas available elsewhere, likely good for
about 70 mile reception.
Do youself a favor, and put the antenna on a rotor, so that when the
Station you're now interested in changes format, you can rotate the
antenna around looking for an alternative!
