IMO- Not a good idea. The TV antenna jack in your room is probably
connected to coax cable which is shielded and would not be a good
antenna for shortwave. You could also pick up a lot of noise from
televisions which are connected to the system and possibly other
appliances in the house.
OTOH- If the TV jack is connected to flat unshielded TV wire, you might
get some improved shortwave reception but the noise could still be a
problem.
