Same country. My understanding is it's changed its name to "Timor Leste".

"Timor Leste" is Portuguese for "East Timor". Nothing has changed here
except that some people are using the local name for the country to try
to make a case that it's a new entity. The name change is a red herring.
(Otherwise, I'll put in an application for new entity status for Germany
saying it's changed it's name to Deutschland.)
