According to p. 10 of the Owner's Manual, it i supposed to show a "low
voltage icon" when it is time to recharge. For the Li-Ion battery, it
shows four different icons, depending on voltage.

Accoridng to p. 68 of the manual, you can monitor the actual voltage
of the battery
