Default some help needed with Miami Police frequencies

Hi everybody,

I am still working on preparing my trip to Miami next month, and I came
acros this page
http://www.bellscb.com/cb_radio_hobb...leet_codes.htm
with info about the frequencies used by the police in Miami. I am a
little confused here. The website lists two frequencies groups:

TYPE I:

This has been upgraded to a Motorola Type II system - it's the Miami
City system. The control frequencies (the only ones you have to
program) a

854.9625, 855.2125, 855.4625 and 855.7125.

TYPE II:

This is the Miami Beach system. The control frequencies a

859.78750, 859.91250, 860.78750 and 860.91250.

Since they are in the 800MHz range, I suppose that these are trunkated
frequencies, but what are TYPE I and TYPE II? My PRO-97 comes with the
following modes: CTCSS/CT, DCS/DC, Motorola/MO (pre-rebanding), EDACS,
LTR.

I am under the impression that TYPE I and TYPE II are probably
Motorola, but then how can I find out with these are pre or post
-rebanding

Everything at this time (with the exception of a few systems that have
moved - these haven't) is pre-rebanding.

Could I listen to TYPE I AND TYPE II at the same time?

No problem, since these are both Type II, but yes.

If yes, in which order should I enter these frequencies in my bank?

If you had a I/II mix you'd have to enter them in separate banks.

Do I also need to enter the fleet IDs or does this receiver do that
automatically? (the IDs are also given on the web page above).

You have to enter map information for Type I systems and for all
trunked systems you either enter the Talkgroup IDs you want to listen
to or you listen to them all.

I had them all. The hotel's main frequency was 150.90500, but it also
used the following four 462.32500, 462.57500, 464.03750 and 469.03750.
In two days of scanning I did not identify any specific service using
any one rather than the other.

Some of the 460 frequencies might have been trunked, and they don't
separate by frequency, they separate by talkgroup.
