Hey rtc,

Forgot to say *THANKS!!!!* for the link. Please forgive the omission. Soon
as I get a little ahead, have to breadboard a Xtal radio, just like the old
days.

The first time I put on those cans and heard two stations (at the same time)
then tuning in others....And hearing Los Angeles at night in-between other
stations....It was a blast.

Again....THANKS!

My first radio was a crystal radio put together by my father because at
4 or 5 years old I'd have messed it up but I could operate it. I was
smart enough at the time to recognize the fact that I did not have to
wind it up or put batteries in it so it would operate as any other toy
I had needed something added to make it work. I got the concept that it
worked entirely off the energy it picked up from the antenna. It was
magical then and it is still magical to me now. Understanding how it
works takes nothing away from how marvelous a thing a crystal radio is
to me.

Crystal radios - batteries not included.
