Thanks for the reference, Roy, I'll take a look at it.

One wonders how EZNEC tells the difference between a
standing wave antenna and a traveling wave antenna

I'm willing to bet it doesn't use lumped circuit
theory. :-) I'm also willing to bet that forward
and reflected waves are taken care of in the
equations used by NEC.
