Default Grundig S350 Good or really Bad?

I want to get a grundig S 350, but I have heard bad things about this
radio from other SWL listeners , and I wanted to try it out for myself
to see what I can receive on it also to see for my self what it it
really is . Is it really true that the Grundig S350 is a bad radio
or is it a good radio. Where can I find deeper reviews about this
radio? Is it best that I should try it for 30 days? I also heard
that there were improvements with the Deluxe version. Best regards.

Hmmm...is the radio: Good or Really Bad. In my experience most
$100.00 radios are something in-between those two absolutes. From
everything I've read the strong points of the radio are good quality
loud audio, easy to read display, selectable filters and complete
coverage of fm, mw and shortwave broadcast bands. Downside includes
single conversion design, selectable filters (wide is too wide), no
keyboard entry, no ssb capability.

This radio is probably best thought of as a good sounding (and looking)
AM FM radio that also happens to receive shortwave. With only basic
controls it will catch the big broadcasters just fine and the results
will be pretty darned enjoyable.

I would read the reviews previously suggested. And then as you
indicated: "...I wanted to try it out for myself to see what I can
receive on it also to see for my self what it it really is ." Trying
it out yourself is a very good idea.
