No, it's not; the name collision is an unfortunate coincidence.

Text-only newsreader users be warned: the ads and notices, while usually
interesting and very seldom spam, _do_ tend to be in HTML only, so that
you have to go to the trouble of lighting up a browser, or at least an
instance of lynx, to read them -- a minor-to-moderate pain in the sitting
parts.
