XM and Sirius are doing quite well signing people up. Faster than DBS
was 5 years into their start-up. Over 10 million subscribers and
adding over 10,000 a day. Nobody's giving away ''free'' receivers
right now, AFAIK.
Some of the dealers are giving away receivers, since they get a commission
on the service itself. But I do not think XM or Sirius are subsidizing any
plans right now.
