That's too bad...

Part of why I like DXing is the connection between people a long
distance apart... it just doesn't seem the same if it's got to go all
the way over fiber too..

It's pretty cool technology though. I suppose it should count for
DXCC, especially if it lets more people get some of the rare ones.

I wonder what the status of doing something like the previous poster
suggested and dropping a remote station on Scarborough would be...
weatherproof shell, Iridium data link... tidal power generation....
stick a BiggIR vertical on top and some trailing wires down into the
water and it could easily QSY.... it'd be like having a resident
operator.

Not as cool as contacting some crazy guys and gals actually sitting in
the middle of nowhere on a little rock, I think.
