Default Mobile - On Glass Antenna

Anyone know of a VHF/UHF antenna that can mount on the glass and then
actually stay attached to the glass? I used one several years ago and on
a hot summer day, it came off. It used that sticky tape which was
worthless.

On-Glass mounts work quite well - HOWEVER Antenna Specialists (Cleveland
based) - who has the trademark (and patents) for On-Glass antennas -- had
significant problems with southern US installers -- who installed these
antennas in high humidity environments (often outdoors).

I have installed mine on 3 different automobiles - since 1986 - NONE have
fallen off after 200,000 + miles ... and I have hit tree limbs, car washes,
etc. The aerial may have been bent - but the mount held.

They had an entire web page (old web site) to address the proper
installation, etc.
They actually specified to southern installers to perform these
installations in air conditioned bays (with the rest of the radio install).

"Copy cat" imported products also flooded the market -- with no instructions
or real understanding of the correct mounting techniques - many consumers /
installers were obvious to these differences. "OnGlass mounts are bad". "I
had a bad experience", etc.

Just another version of the Bad Capacitor situation -- buy and select for
price (with no understanding of the fundamentals) - because they all look
the same.

PCTEL in Chicago purchased Antenna Specialists a few years ago.
