Absolutely. Inarguable. But, in this case, the preacher is the addled
one. And his argument is that *he's* the voice of clear-headedness.

The demographics of the Liberal/Democrats assure this, simply look up who and
what their constituency consists of.

So, go ahead with the next piece of logic: Which came first: the
liberals, the addled-ness or the need to become addled?

I'd say that liberal-mindedness promotes the possibility that
occasional addled-ness isn't a big problem. But living in a world
"run" by the Rove/Rush/Right machine perhaps forces a need for it.

But I could be wrong. I'm open to other interpretations.
