La Voix du Sahel in Niger has returned recently to 9705v. Heard here at
1930-2000 in French. Tried to determine if they had English on Sundays at 2000
as reportedly shown in WRTH but was unable to check due to WYFR sign on in
presumed Arabic at 2000 via Julich.

By the way, Niger was last reported on in 2003, also on 9705v. At one time they
were also active on 5020.

Ace, how accurate do you find the WRTH these days? It's been many
years since I bought one, as it didn't appear to be up to the same
standards as when Jens Frost and Andy Sennitt were putting it together.

You could always check out the ILG database for frequencies and times.
The WRTH is still a pretty good information source but you can expect
that in the case of major broadcasters to find that frequencies do
change. Now much of your stations in Africa, Latin America, Near East,
and Asia will still probably use the same frequencies they have for
years. I purchased a new copy of WRTH this year and found it to be
relatively decent despite some info that isn't always correct. It isnt
perfect but it suits my needs especially for 20 bucks.

This is a very helpful answer. I guess for $20 it is a handy if
imperfect resource to have at hand by the radio. Thanks!
