Default No potable water on board transatlantic Icelandic Airways flight

Might not sound like a big deal, except there are over 500 people on
board this sucker.

Here's a rather large recording of a phone patch between the pilot and
Icelandic Airways dispatch. The pilot isn't always easy to copy, but
here goes:

Sorry about the quality of the recording, but I wasn't really prepared
to record anything. This is also just part of the recording I made,
which ended up an enormous .wav file.

They said any further comms would be on 8930 khz, but enough time has
passed that it may not be worth monitoring now.

For some reason it isn't playing. Can you give a summary?

The gist of it is this. The pilot tells Icelandic dispatch that they
have over 500 people on board and no water, and this promises to make
the flight especially miserable for several of the people on board.
Pilot says he's thinking about letting the passengers vote on whether
to proceed with the flight or divert to some new destination to get
water. Icelandic dispatch then asks the pilot where he could go to get
running water. The pilot suggests Gander or Boston. Dispatch then asks
the pilot if he knows why the plane has no running water...is it
because the tanks are empty or because of something else? The pilot
says he doesn't know. Icelandic dispatch then says that the flight
should continue even if it's going to be uncomfortable for some people.
If the flight diverts to Boston, say, and they find out that there's
some kind of technical problem responsible for the lack of running
water on board, then they'd be screwed because their Boston facility
would not be able to repair such a problem.

And that's about where the recording ends. Sorry it wouldn't run for
you.
