When did Kenwood stop making their shortwave receiver? I had

portables during the 1990's - Grundig YB 400 and a Sony 2010. I

wanted to get a table top receiver but never did. The table top

the best was Kenwood.
Kenwood stopped in 1996 apparently with the demise of the R-5000.
And while they may still support it (I e-mailed them last
year and they still did), there's no guarrantee that they
still will in the future.
