buying stupid in the USA
Well John, Good for You! More people should be so independent. However,
you just may be the exception that proves the rule because, generally
speaking, an economic downturn is not good for a large portion of the
country.

I grow my own food (no grocery shopping bills), tenured teacher (job
for life), own a scooter, and have installed solar panels to hedge my
energy costs.
I also own a gun to shoot poachers wishing to steal my vegetables, and
live in a shooter friendly state (i.e. I won't get arrested for killing
you on my own property)
Please tell us where you teach; I'm sure the parents of the students
would be interested to know that their child's teacher would kill
somebody for taking a carrot.
How is someone like myself affected by the housing bubble, except that
it provides me the ability to get RE on the cheap?
Yup, true-- people have always been able to make money off of the
misfortune or stupidity of others.
Yours In Christ,
John
Seeing as -you- brought it up, what do you think Christ would say about
you shooting and/or killing someone over a few lousy vegetables and who
was only trying to feed his starving family? Hmmmm?
P.S. Ya gotta be kidding, right? Ya really wouldn't kill somebody for
taking a carrot? That really doesn't sound very "Christian" of you.
