The Circuit is rather easy. The button cells are actually "Supercaps"
They are in the range of 1 to 10 FARADS. , yes Farads.

I first came across these in my patent attorneys office several years
ago, his son had one and it had an incadescent lamp in it and it only
lasted for a few minutes.

I was applying for a patent for a similar flashlight that I built that
has a small wheel on the back. It turned a little PM motor that
generated current when you rolled it on a table or other flat surface.
My invention used super capacitors and a LED, It would stay lit
overnight. I used a simple circuit (3 components) that I called a
charge pump. In my unit you rolled the little wheel back and forth and
it would light up. I wanted to patent it so I could manufacture them in
some small town that industry had left behind in Canada or the US. Just
to help some folks that needed help.

Its a long story, In the end I had no money to convert the patent from
Pat. Pending.
