Pure - No the Two-Clips are to connect :

* The White-Clip to the Radio's Screw Antenna Terminal
or Whip Antenna

* The Black-Clip to the Radio's Screw Ground Terminal
or the Chassis Ground.

The Loop Antenna Element is used at all times.

- RADIOS THAT ARE LACKING THE EXTERNAL ANTENNA JACK !!!
