Interesting part, Jerry Oxendine's PR for the CAP aside, that
Ace Robesin has NEVER told any DETAIL of HIS "flying
adventures" in the CAP. Everything he's mentioned is in vague
terms, catch phrases, all easily cribbed from Flying magazine
or some CAP PR pamphlets.

This explains his remarks about a 1958 copy of "This is the Air Force."

"His" CAP "defends the nation"
by "flying SAR missions" as if he is the "pilot in command"
(of, at best, a single-engine four-seater something). Sure as
hell ain't no four-turbine Herky bird or a helo. All He-roic
phrases, pumping up only his own Id with emotion.

Sad if he believes his own lies...

That's been "Ace" Robesin's tactic all along in here, giving
only vague details, cribbing PR catch phrases of some
"service," then getting shot down by someone who REALLY
was in that particular service. [Robesin didn't last long in
the TN STATE Guard...wonder why not...the REAL reason?]

Tha would be worth following up on.

On "Major" Robesin, Last Action Hero, does he PAY for his
own Avgas? OWN his own airplane to fly those "SAR missions?"
Who does the A&P on his terrific aircraft? If we believe Jerry
Oxendine's message, then Ace Major Robesin is throwing
away a NURSE's salary right and left with very little going to
his wife and daughter. QRZ bio says he lives in a "duplex."

Could be a typo. Maybe a "double-wide?"

Around these parts that is a RENTAL. He's hit the 50 mark

What is Major Ace Robesin's task assignment in CAP? The
REAL one? "Ordinance officer" that loads the missles on
