Hi..
In the past, I've always mounted my coils vertically but
this time around, I need to mount some horizontally. I was
simply going to glue them to the pcb but wanted first to get
input as to other home brewer's method of mounting toroids to
a pcb. The toroids will be FT-37-43 type wide band transformers
in the 10MHz range. Your input is welcome. Take care.

With FT-37-43 toroidal cores, the outer diameter of the form
is 3/8 inch, right?
There should be very little change in inductance by simply
gluing that small an inductor to a non-conductive spacer
at least 1/8 inch thick...such as most any plastic material.
I've used two-part epoxy from the hardware store, a silicone
RTV goopy stuff (from same store), even my wife's glue
gun for craft work (lots of TLC involved in such persuasion),
all worked well. I'd judge that the two-part epoxy would be
the most long-lasting on fiberglass-epoxy substrate boards.
