I think the price of the DE11 is too high based on what it gives you. The Tecsun PL200 is full-featured, receiving all of the 3-30 mhz shortwave spectrum, but it is a single-conversion radio.

The Degen 1102 and 1103 are near the price of the Tecsun PL200. The 1102 and 1103 include dual-conversion reception (to eliminate wrong-frequency images), and ssb (to decode amateur, utility, and various other broadcast modes).
