I found the answer (partial) in the Owner manuel of the TS570D p61 (see
www.kenwoodusa.com)
but nobody can tell me (yet) what could happen if I do not make this link

Hi,

For demonstrate the functioning of an HF amplifier I have to use a Kenwood
TL-922 amp with a Kenwood RTX TS-570D.
I should connect the RTX "ACL EXT" and "RL CONT" cinch output to the
equivalent on the amplifier rear side but this RTX does not has such
terminals.
Here is the layout of the rear side :
http://www.astrosurf.com/lombry/Radio/ts570-rear.gif
and front side to be complete :
http://www.astrosurf.com/lombry/Radio/ts-570d.jpg

I know for having used similar configuration (another RTX) in the past

that
I can work without this link between the RTX and the amp at the condition
toi be able to modify the PA driver.
Unfortunately this amp request 80-120 W in. I can offer it 80-100W and I

use
a external SWR-meter to check the ouptut power and VSWR
NB. The PA will not be overdrived and thus the ACL voltage will be 0. So

at
first sight there is no problem to work this way.

Question : using this TS-570D is there a risk to damage or to be unable to
manage some feature (probably none of the TS-570D) if I do not use the ACL
EXT and RL CONT on the amp ?
Or in others words what could happen if I do not use this link ?
and at last is it mandatory to use a RTX offering an ACL EXT + RL CONT

cinch
with that amplifier ?

Thanks in advance
