Hi,

The kenwood TS-570D, according the documentation is equipped with a notch.
Theoretically this is a very useful feature to cancel QRM in the center of a
frequency and be able to listen to weak stations.

But at first sight there no such a NOTCH control on the TS-570D...
Can some one explain me who is right (me or the manufacturer) ?

From what I can see in the manual, the TS-570D (like the TS-2000) has
an adaptive notch filter implemented in the audio DSP. It's not a
single notch - it can actually detect and notch out multiple tones.
Hit the BC (Beat Cancel) control to enable it. It's on page 38 in the
manual.

I don't see anything in the manual which would indicate the presence
of a user-adjustable notch filter (IF or audio). You can adjust the
upper and lower frequencies of the signal passband, but there isn't a
manually-adjustable notch within the passband.
