+++Try building your own. Hoist it as high as possible, the higher the
+++better. Or get an el-cheapo antenna tuner ($10-20) and throw some wire
+++into a tree -- works better than any prefab antenna I've ever tried.

I heard once on ten meters a guy that loaded up his chain link fence.

Heck it radiated. Probably has a funny pattern but if someone answers
back it is okay.

I've done that with the neighbor's fence before. In fact I made it the
antenna for my first shortwave radio. Worked fine for me. The only
problem was whenever they opened the gate I would have to retune.
