Hello,
I currently own a Grundig Satellit 1400 sl but it is rather (more than
20 years) old and I hear too many crackles when I turn the nob to switch
to others frequency bands. Furthermore, it becomes very difficult to
stay tuned to exactly the same frequency, I always must adjust it by
turning the main nob. It's really a pain to listen to sw. So I wish to
buy a brand new one with the same performance in order to listen to
international stations. One of the purpose is for DXing, hearing weak
radio stations from all over the world. And cheap
No more than 150 euros.
I am thinking to the Grundig yacht boy 80 wr 5408 or Sangean ats 505
since it seems to be the same receiver. A pocket sw radio is ok for me.
Its feature should be a range from 1600-30000 khz without
discontinuity, "no holes" if you prefer. I saw at this web site
(http://www.grundig.com/index.php?id=301&pid=291) an interesting one.
When searching the web, a few manufacturers state their radio is a full
range 1600-3000 khz but when looking at a vendor in France (I live in
this country), this is unfortunately no longer true since some
frequencies are missing, I wonder why.
If anyone has usefull links or informations for buying one in France he
is the welcome.
I ordered the degen 1103 and AM and sw antennas for 85euros shipping
included from tqu_china on eBay ...
there is eg Sony 7600GR 169 euros from
www.thiecom.de or sangean 909 for
about same price..
sync is good on sony, 909 has narrow wide ...
