Subject: CB radio

Thanks for agreeing to talk to me.
I'm interested to know who is still using CB radio and why?
Whether it has uses which are being ignored by the general public?
Whether people visiting your site are nostalgic or actively on air?
The age, sex, etc of those still using and interested?
How you got involved yourself - where you are living, how old you are,
if you still use CB and to whom you chat?
Any good anecdotes about CB would also be welcome.
Many thanks

Anyone want to give some input, about what it is like in their area?

Speaking for myself, I usually get a couple three guys within 60 miles or
less from me on SSB. 27.385 lsb mostly. I'm strictly a side-bander unless
I'm on the highway. There's no shortage of people to talk to either.

A good antenna is needed, and a ratchet-jaw doesn't hurt either. Sometimes
the band opens up and you can talk to Australia. Rock on.
