My reference was that a system set up to search just like being on ebay
would be as redundantly foolish
as posting links to ebay ads. I agree, if I want to check out auctions, I'll
go to ebay. When I just want to search out
a sale or trade I come here. God bless the filter and killfile.

Hey, I've said it once and I'll say it again. I think we should have a
rec.radio.ebay group.
That way we will have a place where everyone can list their ebay
auctions, and you can use google to
search out what you're looking for. Better yet, someone could write a
code to help search the group by category,
item type, number or price, if all that was listed in the ad. It would be
a great idea and it makes me wonder why ebay didn't think of it.

The people who like to pollute the groups with their ebay ads won't go for
a separate group. They want their ads to go out to as many people as
possible. I'm surprised that they haven't resorted to mass mailing
software like their cousins, the spammers have done.
