I think his point is - you most likely sold it with good tubes already
since
you are a technically savy amateur, and an honest man wouldn't sell a
radio
even to Radio Mart with bad tubes in it. Radio Mart didn't
need to test the tubes, and certainly didn't put $130 worth of new tubes
in
it. So for him to even post that it needed new tubes is essentially
saying
you sold him a basket case.
