Looking for a good Cabrillo type logging program for the upcoming CQWW
CW contest - logging each contact by hand and then transferring to a
home made logging sheet gets kinda old pretty quick...
Needs to be in Cabrillo format for submission.
Any suggestions? Prefer free or small fee (under $50).
XPost & Fup to rec.radio.amateur.misc.
My first choice (for single OP, unassisted): CT(Win) by K1EA,
available at
http://www.k1ea.com/. It's free, easy to use and
offers all features you'll need to get started. Saves the log in
Cabrillo format, export to ADIF possible to import it into your
general purpose logging program.
CT is one of the most used contest loggers for many years now,
for a good reason.
More advanced: Win-Test (
http://www.win-test.com/). Not free, but
worth the price, if you need the rich features it offers.
Especially great networking capabilities for multi-operator
environments (probably not important in your case), good SO2R
support etc.
Other free Contest loggers: N1MM (Mentioned in another post. It
works fine, but it's a bit too bloated for my taste.), SD
(
http://www.ei5di.com/ similar to CT).
Hope to meet you in CQWW, I'll be Single OP Allband High Power
with SO2R (using good old CT).
