Yep, Just as long as you ditch the tuner. I guess instead of 1.25
wave, I should have said 1.5 wave. 3/4 wl a side would be a good match
for coax. You could feed an EDZ ".64 wave per leg" with small loading
coils at the feedpoint, and the losses wouldn't be worth worrying
about. Very low...Or use the correct length of ladder line to get a
good match..Just a regular coax fed dipole on 40m will be very
efficient. What, maybe about 97-98 % for the average 50-100 ft length
of decent coax?? Very low losses anyway. MK
