Being an SWL since the early 1960's the concept of paying to listen to
the BBC is anathema to me. None the less the BBC have become much less
frequent contributors to the North American SW bands. A local AM (MW)
station here in Santa Barbara features many hours daily of the BBC
satellite feed. KZSB 1290 AM. They only output about 250 watts but I
have heard them as far south as Oxnard.


How many months, at 15 per, does it take to equal a decent radio?

Satellite receivers are fifty bucks and the reception is darn near
perfect all the time. Lets one concentrate on the content...
