Why is it that when people develop electronic implementations of the
Smith Chart (like this one) that they don't implement things like
complex Zo and attenuation in transmission line elements, complex
reference impedance (incorrectly termed Zo in this prog)?

Yes that has always bugged me. Not so much a complex
Zo, but transmission line losses would be nice.
