I am certain all commucation has become meaningless to him and he never
noticed
He's an A-1 OP.

is he realy? certainly that not something to be aspried to

[Mark stoops to taking a swipe]

Yes, Mark, it is something to be "aspried" to. It is recognition by two
separate individuals who are already members. It isn't something you
can apply or ask for. You should look up the things which are required
in order to be nominated. During the more than twenty five years I've
been a member, I've nominated quite a number of other ops for
membership. If you look at the League's web page, you can find a list
of operators who have received one nomination and are awaiting a second.
The idea for such a list was mine.

Whoop-de-dooo!

[Brian stoops to take a swipe]

Your response was predictable, Brian.

Welp, the ARRL issued him a certificate anyway.

[Brian stoops to take a swipe]

The only way to receive an A-1 Operators Club certficate is to be
nominated by two who are already members. If two nominations are
received, a certificate is issued.

So the ARRL is a "Shall Issue" organization. No Veto capability?

That's right, Brian. The ARRL issues the certificate and maintains
records. No one has any veto capability.

You've got to wonder if that's in their best interest?

No, I don't have to wonder. I'll leave the wondering up to you.
Two members nominate. The ARRL issues.

one A1 op threatens to muder people over radio topics another states
plainly he is willing to help other hams break the rules if they are Dx
HE wants

and both intent on preserving their frat boy intiation rites

pathetic

[Mark stoops to take a swipe]

Very pathetic.

[Brian stoops to add a seconding swipe]

What is truly pathetic is how you and the twit will stoop to anything to
take a swipe at anyone.

Dave, stooping isn't required where you're concerned, and there's no
shortage of criticisms coming from your direction.

Yes, Brian, you stupes do stoop. You've had a chip on your shoulder for
ages.

Besides, why do you
want people to go through your frat-boy hazing?

I'm not in a fraternity and I don't engage in any hazing. Let's
summarize: No fraternity. No hazing. Not mine.

Tell me, Brian, do you think Mark will be
nominated by two members of the A-1 Operators Club for either his
sparkling phone, digital mode or Morse operation?

Getting wallpaper isn't high on my list of priorities.

You could sit around for decades without ever achieving A-1 Op status.
It doesn't matter whether it is on your list of priorities or not.
You can't apply for it. You can't obtain it by working a certain number
of states or countries. The only way to achieve it is to have two
members nominate you. They apply the criteria set out for membership.

Mark will have
to answer for himself.

That might prove interesting in and of itself.

BTW, who were the two hams that screwed up and sponsored you?

[Brian stoops to take a swipe]

I don't know who nominated me, Brian. There are two lists published on
the League's web site. One is of A-1 Op members. The other is of those
who have one nomination.

A single nomination could be a screw up, but different nominations?

How many
on the present list did you nominate and are trying to get over the
hump by having a their names published?

I don't know, Brian--a number of them. Any who I nominated were worked
by me on the air one or more times. If I submitted their names and
callsigns to the ARRL as A-1 Operators Club nominees, I thought their
operating met the criteria for membership.

Do you think that having their
names published will make it easier for them to get in?

Having their calls, not names, published might just do that. It might
just jog the memories of members perusing the list.

Hell, save the
ARRL a lot of trouble and have one of your Cronies get on one weekend
and work a "list" that you provide.

That wouldn't be something in accordance with the established criteria
for membership, Brian.

Finally, have you layed out a plan to oust the incumbent ARRL Roanoke
Division Director?

[Brian stoops to take a swipe]

"Laid", Brian. No, I've told you that I have no immediate plans to run
for League office.

Here's a hint, you might want to get active in your
section first.

Here's a hint: You aren't in my Section and you have no idea of how
active I am in it.

Let them see who you are, find out what you're like.

Quite many of them already know me.

Best of Luck.

In what?
