If IBOC replaces the analog signal entirely and the IBOC power levels
are
increased to anywhere near the stations full night time level, DXing
IBOC on
the AM band will be very interesting and far more efficient IDing the
station for the DXer.

With VERY few buying HD Radios, there is no way analog could be shut
off for MANY years; the Bridge Ratings have analog going out until the
middle of the century. The problem is, IBOC causes adjacent-channel
interference, even within protected contours, so IBOC DXing would be
difficult.
