I recently bought the Icom UT-102 speech syntesizer for my IC-706MKII,but it
doesn't say a word.Is a special activation procedure neccesary ?

I have the synthesizer in my older IC-706. I installed it so long ago, I can't
recall what I did to set it up.

Currently it doesn't do anything unless I press-and-hold a button to the left
and below the tuning knob.
