Know that these are the people with too much time on their hands?

The numbers do not reflect whether the poster is a dedicated hobbyist
that posts useful content or is just a Trolling idiot.

The Troll will think posting useful content here is a waste of time.

I'm more than happy to post less and just lurk here more if that's what
people want.

I've noticed the same thing. In the local newsgroup here, I'm one of
the long standing posters, and I had the same email address for
almost a decade. Yet, I don't show up in those silly google things, because
there is a lot of crossposting and the type of people who cross-post are
terribly prolific, though often they don't actually have much to say (or at
the very least, what they have to say gets repeated and repeated).

It's the same thing here, one fool who can't even live up to community
standards about posting, and a handful of people who are constantly
cross-posting.

Take such people away, and a far more realistic view of any newsgroup
would appear.
