Hi Terry,

Yes, I am in Georgetown.

Its 03:02 UTC.....had to watch 24.....Yes I hear something on 454+-
khz. it is a noise with a pulse in it that pulses every second or so.

What the heck is it ???? Its pretty loud here. On the K9AY I get the
best signal South/ South West. S-8 on the NRD545. When I switch to the
north it is S2 or so.

All good antennas are put up in foul WX. Adds at least 3db over a fair
WX antenna.

Hey man I have put up antennas in the middle of summer T-storms,
blizzards and 2 ice storms.
But this soup is just too much. I find it hard to accept that I am
looking forward to colder weather
as it wll freeze this cr er stuff.

I am using a LF/MW/HF phaser and it appears to be slightly NE of me.

And there is a long term variation. I normally think of LW as being
"imune" to propagation
effects, but at 455 it is clear there is some fading. And I think this
signal is fairly far to
get this much fading.

Thanks for repsonding.

I have to go to my sister in laws next week end and I hope to take a
minimal set of antennas
to see if 200 miles west is enough of a base line to allow some
accurate measurements to be
taken.

It looks like a mulit-tone FSK for .8S with a .2S synch pulse.
